As you enjoyed yesterdays peek into Nutmeg Notes, today I'm bringing you a little more from my 13 year old self. (If you didn't see it, go back now and read it otherwise you'll be looking at this post like "WTF?!")
Here are a few more scans from the books showing the general stuff we wrote about...
I was already into writing little features and playing editor!
(I went through lots of career choices - writer, magazine editor, photographer, etc. Now I'm building them all into one career - ha!)
Below are my my private secret diaries from the same sort of time. They were from Miss Selfridge, which I was so into back then! They had a great section upstairs that had stuff us teenagers could actually afford, like notebooks, lipbalms, accessories and stuff like that, so that's where most of my pocket money went.
And here are a few pages from inside:
I had a humungous crush on our friend Tom, the lyrics are from All Saints song Never Ever, there was actually a one-eared cat that hung around the school and I was addicted to drawing those stars! I still do actually, I was teaching Jordan how to do it a couple of days ago :)
And I was already into "self-development"! How funny.
(I think by "loud" I meant confident, and thought the two had to go hand in hand).
So that's 13 year-old me! Looks like I haven't changed much in 13 years - I'm still that silly girl inside, still passionate about the same things, still wearing padded bras(!) and still drawing those stars. Only now I'm an almost-27 year old mama of two and long-term girlfriend, building a business and avoiding the housework instead of messing about in class :)
