These are just some of the pages from my "Inspiration Scrapbook" that I worked on a few years ago. When I first figured out how to use a sewing machine, I started seeing gorgeous things in magazines differently; instead of feeling miserable because I couldn't afford them (or dreaming of the day when I would be able to afford them), I just started thinking "I could make something like that!". So I started ripping things out and sticking them into my sketchbook. Whenever I needed inspiration, that book was like my bible! It made me geekishly happy.
That was before I had the internet at home though and I've pretty much stopped buying magazines, apart from the rare times I make it to the market where they sell 'em off cheap. These days my inspiration folder is on my computer - there is so much inspiration online it overwhelms me sometimes! It was a lot nicer to have this big falling-apart book stuffed with images that you could sit somewhere comfy and flip through with a nice cup of tea and lots of biscuits :)
