The cheapest way to have a busy social life is to have it in the comfort of your own home! Staying in could become the new going out if you make your home such a fun place to hang out that everyone comes to you.
SOME HELPFUL EQUIPMENT:
♥ A GARDEN WITH SOME GARDEN FURNITURE, A BBQ, FOOTBALLS…ETC.
♥ PLENTY OF SEATING LIKE SOFAS, CHAIRS AND BEANBAGS
♥ DRINKS AND SNACKS
♥ GAMES & CONSOLES
♥ ALL KINDS OF MUSIC
♥ ROOM TO CRASH
♥ A BIG DINING TABLE
♥ A PERSONALITY!
You don’t need to wait on your guests hand and foot, you just need to make your house a place where no-one gets bored and everyone feels welcome. There should always be something to do, something to talk about and offers of food and drink.
You also don’t have to dish out expensive stuff. Buy the lowest priced peanuts and crisps and serve in colourful bowls, no-one will notice the difference and they can help themselves! Look out for cheap deals on beers, wine and soft drinks and stock up.
Have friends and family over regularly for celebrations, gatherings, BBQs, movie nights, anything you can think of. These arranged events will bring people into your home and let people know that you’re a great entertainer and that your place is the place to be!
Whatever kind of party you’re having, make it memorable. Surprise your guests with home made party decorations or even a cocktail you’ve made up yourself and given a hilarious name that will get people talking. Your guests will then tell everyone what a great time they had, word will spread about your legendary parties and your guests will eagerly await the next invite!
Get the girls round for a DVD and pizza night. You supply lots of cheap pizza and they supply the wine! Choose a theme such as tacky 80’s films, romance or simply “Brad Pitt” and get your mates to round up appropriate films to bring with them.
Have a bonfire in your back garden with your friends. Scatter tea lights and fairy lights around the garden to make it look special. Feed your guests with a big plate of jacket potatoes and bowls of cheap chilli, grated cheese and bakes beans and let them help themselves!
Have a weekly coffee morning for all your friends with babies and kids. Ask everyone to brink a pack of biscuits to share, you just supply hot drinks and witty conversation!
Put lots of bean bags and a big paddling pool in the garden and laze about in bikinis with your friends, pretending your on Big Brother. To make it more realistic slag people off when they pop inside to use the loo.
Have a drunken games night with all the old classics: Twister, Scrabble, Jenga, Connect Four, Guess Who?, Monopoly, etc. Make it “bring a bottle” so you only pay for your own alcohol.
Invite a few friends round for Sunday Brunch. Buy the cheapest supermarket eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes and bread and serve it on your poshest plates. Fill a big glass jug with cheap orange juice, slices of real orange and a handful of ice - this looks delicious!
